Cozy Crockpot Foods for Cold Nights
When the cold breeze starts creeping in and family schedules get busier, check out these yummy recipes that will warm any hungry bellies. All are easily done in a crockpot for a dump and forgotten until ready to eat.

Goulash
Goulash is an easy one pot meal. Some prep is required, brown 1 pound of ground beef, dice 1 small onion and 1 green pepper. After you have prepped all the ingredients, dump all into a crockpot with minced garlic, two cups of tomato basil pasta sauce, 8oz can of tomato sauce, 15oz can of diced tomatoes, a cup of water, and 1 teaspoon of herb and garlic seasoning. Then leave to simmer for at least six hours or your work day. Once you are 30-45 minutes away from eating you will add the pasta. When the pasta is tender you are ready to serve up! This recipe also makes great leftovers!
Party Meatballs
Busy schedules include parties! This recipe is sure to be a crowd pleaser and is SUPER simple with only 3 ingredients. What you will need is grape jelly, chili sauce and frozen meatballs of your choosing. Combine them all into the crockpot and cook until the meatballs are warm all the way through. Once everything is cooked you won't be able to keep people away!
Cream Cheese Chicken Chili
Another one pot winner is this delectable Cream Cheese Chicken Chili. To start off place two chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot then top with cans of corn, black beans and Rotel tomatoes. Then add a package of ranch and taco seasoning with a package of cream cheese. Leave on low in the crock pot all day, then shred the chicken and serve.
Warm Apple Cider
Warm drinks can bring an extra life to any fall or winter party. Add your favorite apple cider to the pot then add cinnamon sticks, an orange, and whole cloves to a crockpot. Leave at a simmer to serve later in the night. For an adult kick you can add rum, bourbon, or whiskey.
Hot Chocolate
Need a special treat that you and the kids can enjoy? In this Hot Chocolate recipe you will combine ⅔ cup sugar, ½ cup unsweetened cocoa and a pinch of salt into a pan with a half cup of water. Mix until sugar is dissolved and mixture is at a simmer. Pour mixture into a crockpot with 6 cups of milk and let sit for 2-3 hours until hot. To finish it up add 1 tsp of vanilla and serve. Give it an adult twist with some Bailey’s Irish Cream or some coffee vodka.
