In a mobile-first world, doing vertical video is key to the various "story" platforms (such an Instagram Stories) but if have plans to publish your video to mainstream channels like, YouTube, Vimeo, your website, etc. do not do it in vertical mode. The vertical format does not translate well to "landscape" channels. You get the "black bar" effect on the sides of the video which makes the video harder to watch. Make sure to go landscape mode when planning on syndicate on other channels.

Social media will continue to influence millennials’ homebuying habits. This generation relies heavily on online reviews and social media presence to make purchasing decisions. A strong online reputation for real estate professionals is a must in catering to this market, she adds. Showcasing homes on social media—particularly Instagram—is essential for appealing to millennial clients.

Along with the opening of our new Reverse Mortgage Division at BOE, we are excited to introduce Mirna Ammoun to those of you that may not already know her. Mirna joined BOE along with the Farmington Hills, MI branch in July of 2014 as the Office Manager/Processing Manager. As a reverse loan specialist, she has processed and closed over 300 reverse loans since joining BOE and has served as our Reversion Vision administrator for the past year and a half. We are very pleased that she will also be processing for the Reverse Division, where her knowledge and experience will make her an integral part of the team.
