"It's a car show on steriods"
What does our very own Dana Alfano of BOE Mortgage Indiana do on her sparetime? She runs her kid's school fundraiser at Noonan Academy in Mokena, IL, where she is the chairman of the fundraiser. It's a car show event that happens every year.
As she describes it, this is not your typical car show. The kids are the judges and the car owners are allowed to bribe the kids with a variety of items, from stickers, books, pencils, and glow sticks to persuade their vote.
Besides from the car show, there are other forms of entertainment. Live band, magic performances, Disney characters performing and signing autographs, Clowns on stilts making balloon animals. This event also involves the community as well, having local business setup vendor tables to local dance school, karate team, and gymnastics schools all doing performances as well. Many other attractions are extreme bungee jumping, rock wall climbing, mechanical bull, craft show, raffle tables, walking raffles, etc..
This past year, over two thousand came and raised over $7,0000 for the school. She came up with this event and has been running it for the past 5 years!
